Workplace Safety and Health for Food and Beverages
The objective of this course is to ensure that all employees in the food service sector are aware of the importance of workplace safety and are able to understand and comply with workplace safety procedures and processes in restaurants, kitchens and/or any other F&B establishments.
This course is targeted for employees from the F&B industry to support organisational workplace safety and health (WSH) by conducting checks according to work plans and instructions.
Besides regulatory requirements by Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the F&B Industry players recognise the importance of preparing their employees on raising awareness of workplace safety and health.
The Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Council also works closely with the industry to raise WSH standards in Singapore and the various campaigns to promote workplace safety and health was participated by the F&B industry players. At the annual WSH Training Providers’ Forum on 20 February 2023, more than 100 trainers and management, representing numerous WSH training organisations, were present and challenged to take ownership of their WSH training.
All this indicate a strong need for the course to upgrade F&B employees with the relevant skills and knowledge in the WSH landscape.
